He currently leads program delivery at Publicis Sapient, where his work spans software development and data engineering initiatives for global enterprise clients. Before that, he spent more than eight years as a Scrum Master at Novo Nordisk, where he led multiple Scrum teams through Scaled Agile (SAFe) practices, coached Product Owners, and introduced AI-assisted tooling — including a chatbot and Copilot4DevOps — to reduce manual delivery overhead.
His earlier career was spent on the operations and platform side of enterprise technology: as a team lead and administrator managing global Siebel CRM environments at L&T Infotech, as a Senior Software Engineer at Mphasis, and in technical analyst and associate roles at Oracle and Tech Mahindra. That combination — hands-on platform operations followed by Agile delivery leadership — shapes how he approaches program management: closer to the technical and operational detail than a purely process-driven delivery lead.
Focus areas
Akhil's current focus is on enterprise Agile transformation and AI-enabled delivery: scaling SAFe operating models across distributed teams, building delivery governance frameworks, and using tools like Azure DevOps and Copilot to improve planning accuracy, backlog quality, and delivery predictability. He works across engineering, business analysis, product, and operations functions, and is particularly interested in how AI-assisted practices change day-to-day program and portfolio management.
Education & certifications
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Rajasthan (2004–2008). His certifications include the Atlassian Agile Project Management Professional Certificate, Project Management Foundations, Introduction to Disciplined Agile, and two Generative AI credentials focused on project management — Generative AI Overview for Project Managers and Generative AI Powered Project Plans.
